Dear Schofield 海角直播,\u00a0<\/span> <\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

This past Monday, the district held its annual full day Professional Development Day. \u00a0From this perspective, it was a massive success. \u00a0I attended three separate workshops (from well over 60 plus offerings conducted by over 100 Wellesley teachers\/administrators) on that day and each one was phenomenal. \u00a0I attended the following three workshops: \u00a0\u201cCounting Students In: \u00a0Rethinking Math, Power and Possibility\u201d (which featured the excellent math documentary\u00a0<\/span>Counted Out<\/span>); \u201cElevating Student Voice: \u00a0Cultivation a Math 海角直播 Through Hands Down Conversations\u201d (i.e., structuring math classes where student discourse is a lead element); and \u201cGrowing Up: \u00a0What Our Students Need to Thrive in School\u201d which for inspiration used the novella \u201c<\/span>Foster<\/span>\u201d by Claire Keegan, a sublime Irish short story author. \u00a0I came away both inspired as well as motivated to learn more about how we can better support our math learning as well as our students’ social-emotional well being! \u00a0Again, many thanks to the district for supporting a day of profound learning! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Huge thanks to our Kindergarten parents for supplying a bevy of snacks and beverages for our staff room! Wow! \u00a0So kind and very much appreciated! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Private School Applications FYI<\/span>: \u00a0It is that time of year again when application deadlines start to approach for those families who are considering private school for next year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most applications are due starting in mid-January straight through February 1. \u00a0January can be a busy time for teachers as they prepare progress reports for the last week of January. \u00a0We proactively ask for your help so that the application process can be handled efficiently during December and January.<\/span><\/p>\n
