Some exciting news from our WMS Chess Club: Last weekend, four talented students, Connor Liu,ÌýIshaan Ajmera, Ryan Xiao, and Andrew Liu, competed in the Massachusetts StateÌýScholasticÌýTeam Chess Championship. This was Ishaan‘s very first tournament and he won three out of his four matches! The Team competed all day and earned third place overall! A huge congratulations to our Chess Club members for their hard work and dedication.Ìý

Footloose: The MusicalÌýopens tomorrow! The Big City Cast will perform Thursday at 4:30 pm and Saturday at 7:00 pm, and the Small Town Cast will perform Friday at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 cash or check at the door. This show is going to be amazing – you don’t want to miss it!

The French Fête is today after school in the Cafeteria. All are welcome! A few things to know before you attend:

1. Please store backpacks in the designated area in the hallway outside of the cafeteria. Do not pile them on top of others. No backpacks will be allowed in the cafeteria.

2. Please do not film the student dances. Focus on the in-person experience and encourage your classmates instead! An adult will film the performances so that we have a record of these tremendous efforts.

Last night was our WMS Grade 5 to 6 Parent/Guardian Orientation. It was a huge success thanks to our wonderful Grade 8 tour guides. To all the guides, a shout-out of gratitude for your volunteerism and enthusiasm for last night’s event.

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. ÌýThe late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
