~Today is Wednesday April 29, 2026, Day 2
~Block rotation: B, C, A, Advisory, D, F, G, E
~Lunch: 6, 8, 7
Today is the big day you’ve all been waiting for, the WMS Deutschfest! Come directly to the cafeteria after school to explore the culture of the German-speaking world, while enjoying crafts, soccer, performances and more. We hope to see you there!
Next month, WMS will be holding its Memorial Day Assembly on Thursday, May 21. The assembly is a longstanding tradition in our school and we typically have multiple speakers, including an eighth grade student. The content of the speech could include personal examples of service or sacrifice to our country in anyÌýform, which could include community service or civic action, which many of you are engaged in right now. It could also be about someone you want to honor who has served in the military. If you’re interested, please see Dr. Ito. He will be choosing from the best submissions.Ìý
Currently, eighth grade students are working on Civic Actions Projects and many have created posters to promote their work. Dr. Ito encourage students and staff to start to look at the designated wall space outside of the cafeteria to see what students are doing. Many are for very good causes and reasons. Make sure you take a look!
The town of Wellesley will be flushing fire hydrants in the WMS area today. ÌýNo need to be alarmed if the water is discolored in bathrooms and toilets. Ìý
Attention WMS Track Team members: ÌýPlease meet at the Donizetti entrance by 2:45 pm this afternoon dressed and ready to go for your away meet.Ìý
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. ÌýThe late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
