Next month, WMS will be holding its Memorial Day Assembly on Thursday, May 21. The assembly is a tradition in our school and we typically have an eighth grade speaker. The content of the speech could include personal examples of service or sacrifice to our country in any form, which could include community service or civic action. It could also be about someone you want to honor who has served in the military. If you’re interested, please see Dr. Ito. You do not need a speech completed to let him know. He will be choosing from the best submissions.Ìý
Currently, eighth grade students are working on Civic Action Projects and many have created posters to promote their work. Please look at the designated wall space outside of the cafeteria to see what students are doing. Many are for very good causes and reasons.Ìý
8th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. ÌýThe late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
